In order to be a board certified plastic surgeon in Brazil, 11 years of study are necessary: six years of Medical School, two years of residency in General Surgery and three years of post-graduate study in Plastic Surgery at an Accredited Hospital of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. HOSPITAL DA PLÁSTICA is an acknowledged institution in Brazil, having graduated more than 110 plastic surgeons.
HOSPITAL DA PLÁSTICA has a Center for Faculty Development (CFD), including a full-scale library on plastic surgery. The CFD offers a 1-month fellowship on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery for residents from all over Brazil, as well as 04 furnished apartments to host residents.
HOSPITAL DA PLÁSTICA hosts live-surgeries during Rio de Janeiro’s anual scientific meeting of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, as well as workshops for plastic surgeons, with practical demonstrations of small-scale procedures and theoretical discussions in an auditorium of 200 seats.
