Year I – nº I – January 2004 Hospital da Plástica has acquired two “Pressotherapy” devices for the prevention of deep venous trombosis – “DVT”. Patients considered “risk groups” are those who have just arrived from long trips (over 08 hours), and those about to undergo long surgeries. These patients are eligible to be submitted to pressotherapy in the trans and post-operatory periods. No charge for the use of the equipment. In Hospital da Plástica you will find a highly-trained staff to assist patients with videoendoscopy equipment during surgical procedures on the frontal region (more than 300 cases at H.P.) and during augmentation mammoplasty with endoscopy through the armpit (05 cases with optimum results in H.P.). No charge for the use of the equipment. Hospital da Plástica has available all types and sizes of mammoimplants – both polyurethane and texturized, for the same price as Silimed’s. We offer all post-surgical compression garments for sale. Every apartment is equipped with a small refrigerator, to provide comfort to patients and to those accompanying them. Items should be paid by the time of discharge. The ICU – Intensive Care Unit – is already implemented and working regularly, for full security of our patients. Intensivist doctors working for the ICU and also plastic surgeons have round-the-clock shifts. ICU fee: R$ 180,00 per operated patient. In case it is necessary or if the patient has already undergone blood exams, the intensivist team could perform electrocardiograms, cardiology exams, and also give his medical opinion based on clinical examination of the patient in the pre-operatory period. Price of exams: R$ 200,00 per patient. Surgeries can be performed on Saturdays at Hospital da Plástica.
